Personal Skills and Experience
Karen is a Glasgow based actress with over 20 years of stage, screen and voiceover credits. Her typical playing age is mid 20’s to early 30’s. She is a strong and versatile character actress with a great imagination and the highest standards of professionalism and discretion.
She has appeared in a number of acclaimed theatre productions tackling sensitive social issues, including Janet Paisley’s “Refuge” and Cecilia Granger’s “Bruised Blue”, both of which deal with violence against women.
Until 2010, Karen maintained a dual career as both an actress and Research & Development manager in a private firm supplying information to conveyancing solicitors. She therefore brings a wealth of real world corporate experience to her roleplay work, including considerable experience of liaising with conveyancing solicitors, senior local authority staff, central government departments and senior banking and mortgage industry representatives.
