Cardiff University - Communication Skills Unit

Since 2003, we have regularly supplied role play actors for the Communication Skills Unit, Department of General Practice, Cardiff University.

Our work with them includes organising and delivering role play actors for the Individual Support Programme, Specialist Registrar training workshops, Diabetes awareness training for nursing staff and Breaking Bad News workshops for healthcare professionals, amongst others.

Our role play service provides the Communication Skills Unit with an invaluable resource to help medical professionals identify multiple approaches to possible communication problems with service users and/or colleagues.

Our role play actors are trained to provide complex human reactions rather than simple unrealistic character portrayals. They also provide oral feedback to participants.
